SARRACENIA TERRARIUM

This fascinating, North American carnivorous plant, will live for 50 years, if cared for properly! 

LIGHTING- a full sun (4-6hrs ) location in a sunny windowsill is ideal. Lower lighting conditions will cause the colors to fade. Full spectrum lighting can assist if full sun is unavailable.

WATER- during growing season, keep water level at 1-2 inches. During winter dormancy, keep moist but not sitting in water. MUST BE DISTILLED OR RAIN WATER- tap water, even bottled or filtered water, contains minerals that will build up causing plants to burn.

FEEDING-  Carnivorous plants still feed off chlorophyll conversion like other plants. If outdoors, it will attract it's own food. Indoors, you can supplements with dried insects such as crickets about 1x per month during growing season. (fruit flies are also great!) no fertilizer required.

DORMANCY- the plant will begin to turn brown with shortened days and lower temperatures. They require cooler temperatures (temperatures dropping to 40°F–50°F) for 2 to 3 months as natural winter sets in.

TOXICITY- Non toxic to people or pets.
